Per Requester: Good Fit; Sweet corn is a specialty crop with limited labeled in-furrow options for combined nematode and soil-borne disease management, yet it represents a significant market, so this use addresses a real grower need. The at-plant, in-furrow application targets early-season nematode and Rhizoctonia pressure precisely when seedlings are most vulnerable, complementing cultural practices such as crop rotation, resistant hybrid selection, and residue management rather than replacing them. Because both active ingredients are Group 7 (SDHI), resistance management is an important consideration; the use should be integrated with alternative modes of action for any subsequent foliar applications, consistent with label guidance limiting sequential Group 7 use:07/26;

| Reasons for need: |
Plant-pathogenic nematodes and soil-borne seedling disease (Rhizoctonia solani). Primary: Rhizoctonia, if it occurs naturally. Sweet corn growers have very few in-furrow options that manage both nematodes and soil-borne seedling diseases in a single application. Early-season nematode feeding and Rhizoctonia damping-off reduce stand establishment and yield, and current management is limited. A combined fungicide/nematicide applied at planting would protect the early stand and root health. Current technologies used: Fungicides:07/26;
