| Reduced Risk Status: |
|
| IPM Compatibility: |
Per Requester: Very Good Fit; Matrix will give growers a new FRAC group (2) which will minimize the risk of herbicide resistant weeds. Matrix is non-toxic to pollinators and has low human toxicity ("Caution" signal word). Matrix has proven to be a very effective pre-emergent herbicide in other crops:06/26;
|
| Reasons for need: |
Grasses and broadleaf weeds. Very few herbicides are registered for fuzzy Kiwifruit. The registration of Matrix will give Kiwifruit growers a pre-emergent tool to minimize herbicide applications, minimize human exposure to other pesticides, and minimize production costs. Current technologies being used: Pendimethalin, Oxyfluorfen, and Glyphosate are currently used:06/26;
