IPM Compatibility: Per Requester: Very Good Fit; This product provides efficacy on weeds that currently do not have a labeled herbicide for control, is compatible with cultural pest management practices (flooding), provides a new Mode of Action, and will help with resistance management.
Reasons for need: A broad spectrum of weeds including Californnia Arrowhead, Barnyardgrass, Ricefield bulrush, Ducksalad, Junglerice, Monochoria, Redstem, Smallflower Umbrella sedge, Waterhyssop, and Common Waterplantain. There is currently only one herbicide registered for use in California wild rice (carfentrazone). Additional chemicals and modes of action are required to prevent the selection of herbicide resistance in sedges, as well as to provide control for grasses and broadleaves.

PCR Use Pattern: Make two foliar broadcast applications of Loyant over wild rice and small weeds, at least 14 days apart, with the second application at least 40 days before harvest. Do not apply more than 42 fl oz/a of Loyant per application.
