13755 + PHC68949 ( PHC ) SWEETPOTATO ( 01CD = TUBEROUS AND CORM VEGETABLES SUBGROUPS ) E/CS DATA ON-GOING

Reduced Risk Status:
IPM Compatibility: Per Requester: Good Fit; Mode of action is through inducing plant defenses to activate hypersensitive response and systemic acquired resistance in the plant, thus is non-toxic/non-nematicidal. Because of this, presumed minimal impact to non-target organisms. Foliar application would be compatible with a nematode soil sampling monitoring program:08/23
Reasons for need: Target nematode pest: root-knot nematodes (Meloidogyne spp.), including guava root-knot nematode (M. enterolobii); Few effective products are available for management of root-knot nematode in sweetpotato; moreover, root-knot nematode causes galling damage to the sweetpotato storage roots, and cosmetic damage makes them unmarketable. Root-knot nematodes have a high risk of impacting other minor vegetables, fruits, and row crops grown in rotation:08/23
Requesting State(s): NC:Gorny, A* ;
PCR Use Pattern: Apply as a seed treatment or foliar spray as advised by the MFG
