13593 A PROTHIOCONAZOLE ( BAYER ) FIELD PENNYCRESS (OIL SEED) ( 99 = MISC GROUP ) TOLERANCE/USE TO BE PURSUED WITH NO DATA PROPOSAL/PETITION

Reduced Risk Status:
IPM Compatibility: UNKOWN FIT; THIS CROP WILL BE THE MAIN CROP FLOWERING AND IN GRAIN FILL OF ITS KIND DURING THIS SEASON; IT IS ALSO PRECEDING CORN OR SOYBEAN, WITH SOYBEAN BEING MOST SUSCEPTIBLE TO THE SAME DISEASES/PESTS
Reasons for need: THIS USE IS NEEDED TO PROTECT GRAIN AND SEED PRODUCTION; ADDITIONALLY IT WOULD HELP MANAGE THE INOCULUM OF SCLEROTINIA, ALTERNARIA AND ALBUGO CANDIDA LEFT BEHIND IN THE CROP RESIDUE; Requester is no longer interested in the 'seed treatment' application and suggests generating E/CS data on Sclerotinia':08/23/sb
Requesting State(s): MO:Calhoun, J* ; SD:Reicks, G ;
PCR Use Pattern: PROPULSE AT A RATE OF 0.356 LB AI/A APPLIED AS A SEED TREATMENT AND A FOLIAR WITH A MAX OF 2 APPLICATIONS. RE-TREATMENT INTERVAL OF 14 DAYS AND PHI OF 36 DAYS. 13.6 FL OZ/ACRE WITH LIMITATIONS THAT THERE SHOULD BE NO MORE THAN 2 SEQUENTIAL APPLICATIONS OF PROPULSE OR ANY GROUP 7 OR GROUP 3 CONTAINING FUNGICIDE BEFORE ROTATING WITH A FUNGICIDE FROM A DIFFERENT GROUP; Bayer supports the use pattern proposed for canola: Apply propulse as a foliar spray at 9 fl oz/A, 2 applications, 14 day RTI and 36 days PHI:09/23

Comments: EPA HOLD CAUTION:08/23, 8/24; Mfg supports as Researchable, Residue & E/CS Data Needed, and Prothioconazole use is approved for Canola (Crop Group 20A) and Oilseed (Crop Group 20). This data is available and may support a bridging argument:09/23; although selected as a priority A at the 2025 workshop priority, it is being removed the the NRPM tentative lists since residue trials will not be needed. Since the use pattern is the same for canola - covered by standing ChemSAC, that status was changed from Researchable, Res & E/CS Data Needed to: "Tolerance/use to be pursued with no data proposal/petition":09/24/sb;
