Cato, Aaron 23-ARP03 RECD 5857.pdf Yes 11/24 Two trials were conducted. In one trial Nealta Miticide (cyflumetofen) was applied twice as a foliar spray at 13.7 and 27.4 fl oz/A respectively and at interval of 14 days starting at primocane fruiting. In a second trial Nealta miticide was applied at post-harvest. Nealta was compared to the commercial standard Portal (fenpyroximate) applied at 2 pts/A. In the first trial the spider mite density was below threshold and no impact on spider mite injury, motiles and eggs was observed. In the second trial, the spider mite density was 4 times the threshold of 10 mites per leaf and no impact on the pest was observed. An infestation of broad mites was observed at both locations. In the first trial very few broad mites were observed, but small amounts of injury were observed in untreated and cyflumetofen plots, suggesting that any level of suppression is minimal. In the second trial no suppression of broad mite motiles or eggs was observed by Nealta and broad mite injury ratings remained well above threshold throughout the six-week sampling period. Better levels of control were provided by other commercially available standard miticides included in this trial. Phytotoxicity was never observed.
