This project was a CDFA-funded study with the goal of generating product performance data to assess the efficacy and crop safety of a few experimental formulations with insecticidal properties, as well as commercially available insecticides. The products that were included in this screening trials were: 1) Surround WP: Registered for use on almond for the control of stink bugs (OMRI), 2) Venerate XC: Registered for use on almond for the control of stink bugs (OMRI), 3) Nanocrop: Registered for use on almond for the control of stink bugs (OMRI), 4) NI02ES-1: FIFRA 25b product currently not registered, 5) Debug Tres: Registered for use on almond for the control of pests other than Hemipterans (OMRI), 6) BoteGHA ES: Registered for use on almond for the control of stink bugs [HQ: 8/25 AA].

| Study Accomplishments: |
Research outcomes have been used to educate the almond community on best pest management practices with insecticides currently commercialized for the control of Miridae in almond.
Promising performance results were obtained with MBI-306 (Bountify). Almond was added to the master label of this product in 2025, although not yet to the commercial label. The data generated may be used to support future commercialization [HQ: 10/25 AA].
