PR#PriorityPesticide(MFG)Commodity (Crop Group)Project Status
13762 B GF-4031 ( CORTEVA ) HOPS ( 99 = MISC GROUP ) UNDER EVALUATION

Reduced Risk Status:
IPM Compatibility: Per Requester: VeryGoodFit; Resistance management, as GF-4031 would be the only FRAC group 13 fungicide available in hops intended for export if Quintec use is discontinued or curtailed due to EU MRL’s. Powdery mildew management may require as many as 10 fungicide applications year and therefore having multiple (ie, five) modes of action that are effective and have harmonized MRLs is critical for resistance management. Performs well on the leaf and cone phase of powdery mildew. Protectant fungicide that inhibits spore germination and appressorium formation. Quinoline-based fungicides are not known to disrupt biological control of the twospotted spider mites, one of the most important arthropod pests of hop:08/23
Reasons for need: Hop powdery mildew; Concern over the future use of quinoxyfen (Quintec) in the marketplace due to EU restrictions:08/23
