EXCELLENT CONTROL OF LARGE CRABGRASS, COMMON LAMBSQUARTERS AND PALMER AMARANTH. FIERCE TRTS CAUSED SLIGHT FOLIAR INJURY (≤ 2%). HIGHEST RATE STUNTED CROP 13% AT 7 DAYS AFTER INITIAL APPLICATION AND HAD SIGNIFICANTLY LOWER FRUIT COUNTS.

APPLICATIONS MADE 28 DAYS APART WITH SECOND APPLICATION MADE 16 DAYS BEFORE FIRST HARVEST. NEARLY COMPLETE WEED CONTROL FROM ALL RATES AS LATE AS 21 DAYS AFTER SECOND APPLICATION. FIERCE TRTS CAUSED NO CROP INJURY, REGARDLESS OF RATE OR TIMING. WITH A FEW EXCEPTIONS FROM HIGHER RATES, FIERCE DID NOT REDUCE FRUIT NUMBER OR FRUIT WEIGHT AT ANY OF THE HARVESTS, COMPARED TO WEED-FREE.
