MK (HI) We've not worked with flumioxazin, but Chateau label indicates that this herbicide controls (PRE) marestail (Conyza canadensis). I'm not sure which species of marestail is a serious weed in papaya on Hawaii Island, but C. canadensis is a common weed here. If the papaya and banana projects ever come to fruition, the PHI needs to be changed to 3 days or less for these crops. Do they have any crop safety information? We will probably need to generate crop safety data, but for now, this is not high on my priority list (i.e., to travel to Hawaii Island to run crop safety trials in papaya). (RS 8/13/13)
