WSR Historical EN (CA) I would not fight too hard for an "A", although I would like to see this project completed. I would definitely give it a "B" rating. Pyriproxifen is a very good IGR for whitefly control and is considered a "safer" pesticide. Therefore, my interest is to have a safe insecticide for whitefly control on tomato. We do not grow tomatoes in greenhouses here and I don't know if this would also apply to our tomato transplant industry in Imperial and Coachella. Our transplants are grown in what I call shade houses, so they are not completely enclosed. Whiteflies can enter the houses and we have a concern with not just whitefly, but with TYLCV transmitted by B. tabaci biotype B. I believe that pyriproxifen would be a valuable tool for our transplant industry if it will fall under this use pattern. (RS 6/2/10)

MB (GH) would like to try for a "red" A as the small fruited tomatoes were neglected on the first go round and GH needs use for small fruited. (Likely 2 trials to complete for all tomatoes) [RS 8/11/10)

WR would support a red "A" (RS 8/20/10)

JB (HQ) Valent has trials for small fruited tomato; IR-4 use Valent trials and pay PRIA fee instead of doing the trials (RS 10/14/10)
